This is my 93rd daily post, which means I’ve been blogging for 3 whole months!
When I started this blog, I had no idea if I really had it in me to keep coming up with new ideas and drawings to post every single day. Years ago I had read that for cartoonists to get started in creating a daily comic strip, they were required to create several months worth of strips before they would be ready to approach publishers with their ideas. I had considered working in advance in that way to figure out if I would be capable of maintaining a daily blog. But one day, I decided to go cold turkey, and I signed up for a WordPress blog without having any work prepared in advance.
Sometimes, after you’ve considered the risks, you just have to take a leap of faith and hope you’re able to spontaneously grow wings.

And the rest of us out here in BlogLand are SO glad you did! 🙂
Keep it up, Tim.
(At first, I thought your puppy was a pig, and giggle to myself. Yep, when Pigs Fly! LOL)

Hi Janece, The pupy does look a little piggish – LOL – that’s one of the dangers and joys of making the first doodle the published doodle – there’s no correcting the details.

That would make a terrific stamp … “Spontaneous wings grow from a leap of faith”. You look so confident with your wings, Tim and personally, I am thrilled that you took a leap of faith! Congrats on your 3 month milestone.

Hi Bonnie, I think you’re right, that would make a good quote. My next goal is to see if I can keep it going every day for a whole year. I know I will need a vacation at some point, though. LOL. Tim

WOOHOO for you, Tim! I’ve certainly enjoyed your posts with the many smiles and chuckles they’ve given me…along with the more thought provoking posts! However, I am rather concerned that your arms are getting a bit too tired with that super sized Sharpie! They actually do make them in mini size now, you know! Perhaps you’d find that more comfortable! LOL 😀
timcoffeyart said:
Hi Nancy, Sometimes that Sharpie feels like it ways a ton! LOL, but it’s all about building creative muscle – well, I don’t know if muscle is the right word when your talking about brain-power. LOL.

I am impressed and a fan of your work…
I find your words… “leap of faith” endearing since that is the title of one of my favorite zen poems…
I must have started the same time you did and I find my self sitting every night drawing what I had thought of as inspirational earlier that day…(or writing) I think some of us have a creative muse that carries a whip and demands a creation cause I just can’t help but write or draw something, it is a part of me like breathing. (~_~) keep up the good work and I’ll keep coming to be inspired.

Hi Art, I hope you know by now that I’m a fan of your work, too. Thanks so much for the link. I enjoy it when you link to something that relates to a post. Creating is like breathing, I like that!

Excellent. Take a leap and grow your wings on the way down. lol Love this one. 🙂
timcoffeyart said:
Hi Laurie, Yes, those wings need to grow fast when you start something cold turkey. Have you ever seen a wild Turkey fly? They can actually fly pretty high!
Tim
Laurie - Blackbeary Forest said:
Hey Tim. No, I have never seen a wild turkey fly. We have them around here but they are always just walking around. I’d love to see one fly one day. 🙂
