One of my favorite things to do is experiment with new techniques in creating art.
It can be a bit like alchemy, trying to find the right combinations of substances to create something new. Sometimes all I get is a big mess, and other times it pays off big time with results I couldn’t have imagined.
One of the seeds I will plant in the new year is the seed of experimentation – and I plan to show some of my results in the future on this blog.
Love this sketch and I’m excited to see what you share with us. 🙂
Hi Laurie,
I hope there will be some experiments in the new year that are successes! I think there will be.

I like this doodle today. It something that I was just thinking about a few minutes before I opened my email!! Mine was about my scrapbook pages. Sometimes they are so “perfect” and other times well they are not… and thats ok too!!
I am enjoying the surprise of colour now and then too, Tim.
Thanks, have a wonderful day, Allana
Hi Allana, I hope you had a wonderful day. It was very busy for me today. I’m finding a routine in replying to comments at the end of my day. It seems to be working for me.

That’s the true beauty of art … it doesn’t have to be perfect to be appreciated.
Hi Bonnie, That is true – sometimes the imperfections are the parts that can be most appreciated!

ME TOO! I love to try different things. But I learned the hardway when it came to experimenting with cleaning a toilet bowl. I thought Bleach would help the toilet bowl cleaner, and I created a gas in the home. We had to evacuate for a few hours til the fumes were gone. LIVE & LEARN! TFS
Hi Diana, I’m glad no one was hurt in that toilet cleaning experiment! You have to be careful with cleaning supplies!
