this is special because my little girl came home from school the other day and they had made ginger bread ornaments in class and she was telling me how you can’t eat them cause they will give you a tummy ache but they will make your nose feel good cause they smell good (~_~)this is a wonderful holiday post
Hi Art, That’s such a sweet story about your little girl – thanks for sharing that. I’m so glad you like this one. I hadn’t posted a craft project on the blog in a while, and I didn’t know if many of the usual followers would be interested in this sort of thing or not – so thanks for letting me know!
A true classic, Tim. Great idea and video. Who doesn’t love gingerbread men (or ladies!)??! It a nice change up to see you create with felt and with no pattern, die or template.
Ah, so cute! Makes me wish I had little ones at home again to color and paint with!! (For some reason, I started laughing when you said you have a tendancy to cut the heads too big! LOL)
Hi Janece, Yes, I think this is a good project to do with kids. It made me laugh that I was cutting the heads too big too – what does that say about me! LOL!
Hi Diana, It’s surprisingly easy. I thought it would take a while to perfect the technique and instructions, but the very first one I tried made it into the video. You could also try it with brown paper if you don’t have the felt. I would just crinkle the paper after cutting the shape to hide the fold mark. Happy Holidays! Tim :0)
